Terms of Service
Welcome to TypedTrust. By using our service, you agree to these terms. They are written to be clear and fair -- please read them.
TypedTrust is currently in beta. The service is provided as-is while we refine it. We appreciate your patience and feedback.
1. What TypedTrust Does
TypedTrust is a web-based editor that records keystroke timing patterns while you write, and uses them to generate a cryptographic proof of human authorship. This proof can be shared as a verification link that anyone can check.
TypedTrust is a tool for positive proof of human authorship. It is not an AI detection service -- it proves you wrote something, rather than trying to detect if AI wrote it.
2. Your Account
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use TypedTrust to:
- Create fraudulent verification proofs (e.g., claiming AI-generated content as human-written by gaming the system)
- Write, store, or distribute illegal content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the service
- Overload or disrupt the service through automated or excessive requests
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your Content
You own everything you write in the TypedTrust editor. We do not claim any rights to your content. As described in our Privacy Policy, your document text is hashed on your device and never stored on our servers.
Verification proofs are generated from your content and are designed to be shared. Once you share a verification link, anyone with that link can view the proof data (metadata and statistics, not your actual text).
5. Verification Proofs
TypedTrust verification proofs are cryptographic evidence of human authorship based on keystroke timing analysis. Please understand the following:
- Proofs demonstrate that content was typed with human-like patterns -- they are strong evidence but not absolute certainty
- Verification proofs are not currently recognized as legally binding documents by any court or regulatory body
- We are working toward formal recognition, but as of now, proofs should be treated as supplementary evidence of authorship
- The accuracy of verification depends on the data collected during the writing session
